The Indian Canyons neighborhood is located in south Palm Springs. The area was once home to the Agua Caliente Indians. It is home to two golf courses, the 18-hole north course (formerly know as The Canyon Country Club) is open during the season and the 18-hole south course is open all year.
The distinctive architectural-style and ranch-style homes were built in the 1960’s into the 1970’s with no visible telephone or electrical wires. Noted architects for Indian Canyons include Donald Wexler, Stan Sackley and Hal Lacy. A majority of the homes in Indian Canyons are on lease land.
Nearby grocery shopping and other retail and amenities includes Ralphs at Smoke Tree Village and Jensen’s Finest Foods at Smoke Tree Commons on East Palm Canyon.
